I'm going for a full 5 stars on this laptop, despite the limitations the product has in comparison to other laptops available on the market today. There are several apps that come pre-loaded on the laptop including Netflix, Bing search, paint, a pinball game, but it does not come with the Office Suite loaded, this will need to be a separate purchase. There are a couple of really good free word processors out there like LibreOffice that run very smoothly and have excellent features, not to mention Google Docs.
The main and only real issue I have with the laptop is the inability, as another reviewer has mentioned, to upgrade the memory. It comes with 2GB and cannot be swapped out by the end user. I think being able to do so could make up for some speed issues elsewhere. 2GB isn't exactly the high end of the spectrum, but it can push what this laptop was designed for, and I'm okay to settle with that.

While many users of Windows 8 had some issues with the layout and the functionality / familiarity of the operating system, I feel that the environment works well with this laptop. The touch screen works admirably and I have not had any issues with switching back and forth between using on screen commands and regular keyboard or mouse commands. The best way to describe the operating system is somewhere between a more traditional Windows environment and a smartphone. There is a desktop, with folders, time, and all the rest we are used to seeing, and there are also app-launcher screens that can be accessed and are laid out very similar to how the apps are arranged on a phone.

I've heard a lot of back and forth reviews on this. I love this phone. I live in the U.S. and i have consumer cellular as my phone provider. I bought this phone, stuck my sim card in it, and had no trouble at all setting it up. All i had to do was go through initial set up steps like language settings (it was in English (ireland) and i changed it to english (united states)). I could not disagree more with the previous reviewer. It sounds more to me like he sucks at the skill that typing on a phone requires, probably not patient enough or has pretty big fingers. It has been a joy for me to use for the last month of having it. I am coming from a Black berry and this has been vastly superior. The touch screen is not only very responsive but you have the built in option of just sliding your fingers from one letter to the other to type which makes if much more effortless than the typical input method and i didn't have to download an app to do taht.

For this price, it's a great value. It does almost all that my girlfriend's iPhone 4s does, and more. It is not as fast and responsive as the iPhone, the camera and the sound are also not as good, but it does the job. The screen size is identical to the iPhone, and the screen resolution seems to be the same. I installed a lot of apps on it, and so far have not run out of memory (unlike with my previous phone that had Android 2.3 on it). It came with Android 4.0, and recently was updated to 4.1. So far I have not found any use of the dual SIM card capability, but it could come handy on my next European trip if I buy a local SIM card there. I like this laptop. The windows eight would not be my first choice if I were to buy another it would not be with the windows eight. There weren't any manuals with it either which I find odd. I would have liked instruction books.
The library has a nice book for those that have not used the windows eight before. There really is more to the windows that what I will use. Also It does not have a words program installed and requires one purchased separately which was an unexpected expense. Still it seems like a great buy to me.

Pros:
It is small 10.1 screen
The battery is detachable, which makes it easier to switch out.
The battery life is decent: I got a little less than 5 hours from a mix of internet searches, video watching and photo editing.
The operating system is actually 8.1.
It came with Microsoft Office Home and Student.
It was very easy to set up.
It is a very functional little computer for a good price.
It has built in Windows security software
The keyboard was just right for me but then I have rather small hands.
It stays pretty cool when you have it on your lap for hours at a time.

Cons:
The touchscreen is responsive but I found that sometimes it was easy to accidentally go to a previous page or another screen entirely by touching the wrong part of the screen.
It takes an inordinate amount of time to download things (but that could be attributed to my wifi)
They have a somewhat limited selection of "apps" some of them (like a microphone) are already on your computer.
The whole windows 8 interface is more of a step sideways than a step forward.
